Wooting One mechanical analogue keyboard funded

I was on the mail list and was so close to snagging an early bird. I'm torn between getting one now and being an early adopter, and waiting for the tech to mature. But chances are this keyboard will be 199+ USD if it follows the current KS trends.

I think I'll be waiting, just like VR and almost all other first generation tech.

This is something that has been a long time coming, and it's great to see it finally arrive from someone. Lack of precision in movement control on PC has been the main thing going for xb360 controllers and the like for years now, I'm frankly surprised it took so long for someone to cotton on. This still leaves isn't the perfect solution, as your thumbstick is still going to have better directional control unless you can very accurately pressure 2 of the keys yourself, but it's a great step in the right direction.

Looked at this and thought I might sign up, until I noticed the missing NUMPAD ... oh well ... next!

Update on this, I got a response from Wooting saying that they are planning on a version with NUMPAD on it.

Joystick/mouse combo?

Eh, maybe its because I haven't used a Joystick in a long long time, but I always thought my old Logitech one I used to play Freelancer with was too big and clunky. That said I'm sure they're probably much better now than they used to be, much like I imagine controllers have improved over the years. Joystick and mouse also wouldnt really work in FPS or RPGs imo, more suited to vehicles games based games which tend to require less keys.
