All my gaming is practically Xbox, so joypad is my option. Though when I game on PC I still use the joypad. I've played a little FPS with KBM but I find it so twitchy, and really difficult to get into.
Naturally something like Total War is KBM only.
I wouldn't say one is better than the other, just what is right for you as an individual. All those saying KBM is the only way and that joypads are rubbishrubbishrubbishrubbish, etc, need to chill the F out and stop giving others a hard time. We're here for joy of gaming.
I've tried and tried to get on with a Joypad, I just can't! It's Kbd/Mouse for me, certainly for shooters anyway.
I'll use a wheel for driving games, which I play rarely, and on the even rarer occaision when I might wanna have 5 mins on a platform game, I might pick up the Joypad.
I use the Hotas a lot for Elite Dangerous.
I wish I could get on with a Joypad, as I'd love to play Rocket League, but it's not gonna happen lol.
