Cant play a game with Violence, "No siree! That could be harmful to our nation's youth."
Buy a gun to shoot someone, "sure, no problem, sign here and I'll process your payment"

EDIT: BTW the context is actually written down in the constitution, Article one, section 8 states the congress shall have power...

So if we are to take the meaning of militia to mean the people then where is the provision for organizing, arming, and disciplining, where are the officers, where is the training?
The right isn't just for members of a militia, any more than food is just for breakfast.

    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nort...ywood_shootout

It reminds me about the old saying that when hunting and defending yourself spraying and praying does not work but when you want to kill lots of people it works fine.

Also since military weapons have semi automatic and automatic modes and also have things like sights obviously militaries think for killing people at greater ranges it's useful to have.

I mean that is what the assault rifle was - a combination of the battle rifle and submachine gun as a do all weapon effective over multiple ranges during combat.

This seems to be proved by the point that the Las Vegas shooter still had no issue killing 58 people from high up in his hotel room.
You can't own this combination battle rifle and submachine gun in the US, so that's why the phrase 'Assault Rifle' is used so inaccurately. Usually it's applied to a black gun, rather than one with wooden parts, and has nothing to do with function as in the latest proposed 'Assault Weapons Ban. The idea that people doing illegal things using illegal weapons would be stopped by more laws is ridiculous. The Vegas shooter was hindered by his bump stock. If he's been shooting semi-automatic, he'd have done a lot more damage.

Seems to be very clearly written to me...

A process exists to amend The Constitution, and that is the only legal method to implement gun control. That is the path that those politicians who believe in such a thing need to follow. It wouldn't pass, of course, but restricting civil rights should be hard.
Food is essential for the preservation of life, guns are not - they are designed for the very opposite.

No, the civil rights of citizens to live in an environment free from the risk af deadly force from a stand off weapon (that may be concealed) are hard to achieve.

Not that I'm expecting you to backup that claim as you've failed to provide a single shred of evidence so far, but let's give it another try, citation or evidence please, where in the constitution or amendments does it say the right is not exclusive to a militia?

Yes but he's not saying. "Right then, these straw men we use have access to explosives, therefore everyone is allowed an assault rifle." He's saying our security services need to be ready (well done Sherlock).

In the Second Amendment. Here's a helpful video:

Sorry but I'm struggling to take anything you say seriously now so it's probably best if i let this conversation lay.

Probably best for you. For what it's worth, the Penn and Teller clip is from an episode of their 'BS' series which addressed Gun Control. If you can track down the full episode, you might find it very enlightening. They also addressed a number of other social issues, like Alternative Medicine and Anti-Vaxxers. It's amazing what some people believe!
