Many places already know who you are and what sort of filth you watch.
My wife and I have both been security vetted for government work and in the interview they ask you what sort of stuff you're into. They already know, they're just looking for honesty.... but they DO still know, already!!!

There are so many flaws in such practices, the single point of failure, a possible future government (either extreme right or left wing) using that information against you, and labelling anyone who circumvents such restrictions as criminals or having acted unlawfully, to name but a few.
