So basically, even 1200 bucks worth of GPU is not a guarantee to have smooth 4K gameplay (as otherwise, Nvidia wouldn't put that Medium level).
The more you live, less you die. More you play, more you die. Isn't it great.
Rockstar want to sell as many games as possible so will put the minimum spec as low as they can to not put off buyers. Even if it only has 25fps at 720p on low settings.
Nvidia want to sell as many gpus as possible, so will tell you you need the latest, greatest and most expensive of their wares to play the game at a good standard.
The truth is that given the flexibility offered by PC graphics settings most people will find a perfectly playable and presentable compromise somewhere between the two.
It hardly works on 2k for me, 1080p is fine on my 1080 though.
Runs like a dream at 1440p on my 1080Ti with most stuff on ultra.

Gamer's Nexus is indicating that 5700(and XT) are doing really well... The GTX 1080 seems to be doing not so well for such a relatively recent flagship model. I guess we might be starting to see the real value of AMD's hardware, since developers are getting more used to targeting it on consoles.
I'll let the fools that use Epic beta test it for a month.
