Just been told to work from home for the next three to four months....not sure I'll have enough to keep me going that long.

Re: QOTW: Are you able to work from home?

Been WFH for the past two days.... It utterly sucks. Having to VPN via company mobile tethering and apps are running below 0.4Mbps, thanks to our super-dooper Nokia Windows Phones...... 20mins to load a map that normally takes about 5 seconds on LAN.
Neighbours are all WFH as well, which means they're out mowing lawns and trimming hedges and using all manner of powered gardening implements.

I'd rather be scrubbing the poo screens at the local treatment works!!

Re: QOTW: Are you able to work from home?

Also been working from home since the Bo-Jo recommendation. I'm a developer and technically according to my contract a home worker anyway!

My companies views on home working seems to change with who ever is running the R&D department at the time and if the MD has been walking around the office on a Friday lunch again and taking pictures of a lot of empty desks.

Personally I'd relish working from home a few days a week just to get stuff done free from constant interruptions.

I've got a nice home office setup from the days I was a home worker with 3 screens, a standing desk, and a desk chair that actually fits me so am happy enough working form home for now, but in another week.... we'll see!

You know.... we could always do with more poo screen scrapers, and the wages aren't bad. We're a keyworker industry across the board, including our contractors. Why not send the kids our way, see if the local treatment works is hiring?
No need to worry about PPE, as we'll have bags of it... and there are plenty worse things than Coronavirus to catch from raw sewage!!
