Like the look of it (not that I'd likely see it as I hate glass side panels) but honestly feel like it's needs more storage connections... only 4 sata and only 2 pcie is pretty limiting imo.
$259.99
bahahahahahahaha!
$94 for the DS3H though, I thought all B550 boards were going to be impossibly expensive and we were all doomed?
Co Designed with B&O ?
This is a farce and offers nothing justifying the price, except looks.
Or am I just overly cynical?
The new norm when your motherboard costs the same or more than your cpu
Just as many have so much less money to spend we get a technology splurge of b550, zen 3, Nvidia Ampere, Big Navi, and next gen x box and PS5.
Each and everyone of these will be significantly higher priced that the generation of tech that they replace. Big Navi might be the outlier if AMD want a price war but to be frank why would they? Shares highest they've ever been, top paid exec in Lisa Su (to be fair she deserves much credit) and technology leadership on cpu's for the first time in generations.
Big thumbs UP for the tech but across the board sadly I predict a big thumbs DOWN for the pricing structures - this board being an example b450 tomahawk £120 in UK if dollars to pounds 1:1 ratio as usual is correct this will be £200 + just No.....
4 RAM slots is not that many for a board with 128GB total capacity.
It does appear to have thunderbolt 3. Although they seem to be avoiding actually calling it TB3, and their website seems confused part of the website says "bi-directional 10Gbps data pipeline that includes both PCIe and DisplayPort traffic", another part says it is 40GB/S per port.
More price inflation to ripoff PC gamers and PC enthusiasts. Now the midrange B550 is priced as high as the high end X570. The Asus B550I Strix mini-ITX motherboard costs the same as numerous X570 mini-ITX motherboards.
The A520 motherboards might end up being relatively pricy too. So will there be a Gigabyte A520 Vision orAsus A520 Strix which costs £150??
Some AMD just killed the value for new builds. Great affordable CPU's Pricey motherboards. A 10600k doesn't look so bad now
