QOTW: What was the first game console you purchased?

First console would be SNES afaik. First console I actually bought would maybe be the xbox 360 that barely got used and bought since the ps3 was delayed.

Bought for me due to being young but atari 2600 and nintendo gameboy (original beige brick)... then it was sega megadrive II along with master system add on.... after that haven't bothered with any.

None, PC gamer all the way. Have bought Wii, Xbox 360 and Xbox one for the missus though. Just wish she used them more

I think the first console i purchased myself was my nintendo switch this year. I I jointly purchased a PS3 as i wanted it for gaming and my dad wanted a bluray player.

I've never bought a console and never have I been given one either. I've just never got on with the controllers when I've tried them, so stick with PC, as I much prefer keyboard/mouse.

A Nintendo 64 with mario kart and buz buckbumble. Then a Gameboy and then a PS2. Always had a pc during that time though.

You tell me. Never bought one. And for good measure I should add that I never got one as a gift either. Started out directly with a home computer back in the very early 80s (1981, I believe, or possibly 1982).

Well my first console was a NES The first one I actually bought was a PS2.

She plays the lego games as well!

First one I actually bought was an XBox 360. Oldest that I've used is a Atari VCS but my parent's bought that when I was very young.

I've only owned one console, which is a woodgrain Atari VCS. Other than that, computers all the way for me.....Spectrum 48K, 48K+, Amiga 500, Amiga 1200, then PC's.

The very first thing I purchased for myself was the Amiga 500 when I left school and started my YTS. A friends mum let me order it from the catalog so I paid for it weekly, it was the Batman Pack with Starray, Batman the Movie, New Zealand Story and Deluxe Paint 2.

After that same thing with the original PS1 and after that was paid for bought an N64 from Smyths Toys (not the big chain now but a small independent at the time)which I............bought on credit!!! I was a poor low paid worker at the time so everything had to be on credit and my TV was from Radio Rentals!
