Maybe not enough to buy a card like this, but a lot of people earn more than me and there are plenty of people who haven't been furloughed.

How very... Cyberpunk of you.... which is rather pertinent, given the impending release!

My builds are all watercooled. No fans.
Also, I air-dust my PC components, so any glitter will be thoroughly dispatched well before installation!

1/. The glitter gets vacuumed up and everything gets a thorough air dusting.

2/. They get a package sent back, containing two weeks' worth of poop from three dogs... plus whatever other animal leavings I can find from out here in the countryside near several farms.... plus whatever we happen to drag out of the sewers that week. I'll also be rigging that parcel with something a bit more forceful than a motorised sprinkle-cup mechanism, to ensure maximum blast radius.

Re: Nvidia GeForce Ampere graphics card countdown begins – 21 days

I remember getting the retail GeForce 256 DDR when that came out, think that was £200..
Since then I’ve bought an R9-270x, GTX670 and an RX580 8gb, think that was the priciest card I’ve ever bought, I really can’t see myself ever spending the £1k plus that top tier cards are these days, at best I’ll see how the secondhand market is just after Christmas, and see what RX5700’s or 2000 series super cards are at...

my 10p prediction? 10-15% boost in performance, 2GB extra RAM, 30-50% price increase up the range.

Gotta be honest, current GPU prices are actually not bad. It's just the RTX 2080 and 2080 TI that are extremely expensive because of Ray-tracing.

Much like 3D, SLI, VR, PhysX and other Nvidia crap in between, RTX will die off in the next generation. How do I know RTX will die off? PC games follow console tech, and since console tech doesn't have RTX, very few games will have proper RTX implementation, which makes it not worth the investment.

I for one am waiting on the new mid-high ranger (RTX 3700-3800 and RX6700 XT) so I can switch to 1440p 144hz.
Did you intentionally a load gibberish that makes no sense or did you take the time to think it up?

Did you intentionally just post an unsubstantiated insult, or were you writing a full and constructive argument explaining why you disagree with the poster's opinion, and accidentally forgot to include it?

For example, I fully comprehend everything the fella said. I might disagree, but it's certainly far too comprehensible to be considered 'gibberish'!

    Rule 1 - Don't be mean.
We don't have to be mean.... because, remember - No matter where you go, there you are.

I must have taken a wrong turn somewhere.

Edit: So is it the 21** series now? Not that it makes much difference unless they start the pricing with those figures too.

well when we sell ourselves to the US we'll all be on the dollar, so it'll become my 10cents, just normalising things now given approximate £ $ parity
