the strange thing is that RTX 2000 series has drivers for Windows 7 and not 8. Windows 8.1is still in support but 7 eol and was near eol at time of rtx 2000 launch. I suspect nvidia are looking at usage stats and due to market share saw no reason for windows 8 /8.1. I can't imagine nvidia creating a driver for a new product for eol OS however windows 7 market share is still quite high so you never know. Google pulled chrome support for vista very quickly and around same time as XP. As the 2080 rtx super only has windows 10 support I think that answers the question.
