Chance would be a fine thing...LOL
Nope. I'd most likely go for the Xbox Series X if I considered it enough though.
No, I wouldn't know what to do with it!
Yes got one for my son, not on launch day though, was able to pre-order it from Argos a couple of days later
Neither, not yet, not untill got the variants with proper space in.... but by then I would buy an PS5 with a BD in it.
Got a PS5 for my son to play FIFA21. And for me, of course, but mainly for him. He was disappointed to only be able to play FIFA17 on our ancient PS3, so we waited until the 5 was out and I grabbed one from Amazon at 9am on launch day...
Never buy the first batch, of any kind of electronics.
Every time there is some thing that was oversee in the design and/or production.
Look at RTX 3080 cap problems.
Probably once version 1.1+ is out
No.
I'm considering the possibilty of buying a PS5 at some point (after having stuck to PC-only for the previous console generation) mainly due to any exclusives that may catch my interest.
It's not guaranteed however, but if I do then I'm certainly in no rush to do so and especially not at launch. I'd also still be doing PC gaming regardless.
Absolutely,,,,,, not.
Last time i touched a console playstation 2 was the thing, and i dident play on it as i have always found those kind of controllers stupid.
And BTW when i play on the PC i have never used WASD, i have always used the arrow keys, CUZ thats how very special and snowflaky i am :)
No, and no chance I'll even be considering them.
Whilst I agree with the sentiment - that v1 issues are often resolved in future releases, it's somewhat far fetched to claim there are always issues.
I don't recall issues with my launch PS2, launch Xbox One or launch One X Scorpio Ed.
My Xbox 360 went the way of the RROD, but wasn't even the launch model(!).
I've ordered a launch day Series X from Game and I'm pleased to see the reviews suggesting it'll play well as a One X+ (4k, improved frame rates) until next gen content becomes available.
Of course, I'm counting on Game telling me they screwed up and I won't get it till 2021.
No I've never wanted a console and, am never likely to.
I had it in my basket on the Microsoft store but then thought 'why am I per-ordering something I don't need?' So I let it pass. I will buy a Series X sometime next year but my XboneX will serve me well until then. I did try to buy an Nvidia 3080 but that was a hoot!! I'll wait on an AMD 6900 and buy that if I can to replace my 5700XT.
I have a launch Playstation 3. It's still going strong, some 13 years on Plus it can do something the later PS3's cant: play PS2 games. Sometimes it's good to get in on the launch models, as later revisions may have cheaper/removed components, in order to shave costs.
Anyhoo, I did consider getting a launch PS5. But the pre-orders were already sold out, at this point. Will try and get one when stocks balance out.
Microsoft's issue was whilst you could get a Series X into your basket, it was impossible to checkout, presumably due to load on the back end.
I lucked out with Game, because I happened to access their website after they finally got it back online before the queue reformed (it was pretty much down from 8am till mid afternoon).
3080? Not a chance. I'll probably be rocking my 970 till January.
At least this way I'll get to see what AMD have to offer.
I'd pre-ordered one just to play the remastered Demon's Souls - probably a bit daft, but I figure I can sell it on and get most of the value back before Christmas if needed.
Yep, launch day PS5 full fat version.
Nope, I don't think I've ever bothered with pre-order on anything... and to be honest I'd normally wait a short while before buying too just to ensure all the 'bugs' are worked out first.
That, pretty much.
Years ago, when I had a need for something brand spanking new, I was lucky enough to usually be able to lay hands on one (like I did several times with processors, for instance), but these days I don't really have the contacts and certainly no the need.
As for games consoles, I might, maybe, perhaps. Eventually. But pre-order? Pay that premium? Not a prayer.
I wanted to pre-order the PS5 but being unemployed at the time made the decision for me. I've got myself employment lined up now, so I'll probably be looking to pick one up in the new year.
Gran Turismo 7 and Ratchet & Clank are the titles that attract me, as well as the 4K Blu Ray player, so we can sell the Xbox One S (used only for 4K Blu Ray) and the PS4 Pro to help fund the upgrade.
Never had any issues with consoles and they have priced it quite keenly so I think the price will stay the same for a while.
I've never bought a console, and can't see myself ever having a use for one.
Even if I did decide to trade my PC in for a console, I'd still follow the tenets of House Biscuit, "We Do Not Pre-Order"
Nabbed a XSX on the Klarna gig from Game.
not preordering any console. gonna wait and see what they are like in stores and read many reviews.
the Xbox has a slight advantage with there pass, if it ever gets to my country to.
One of my friends ordered the xbox and my brother i think ordered a PS5.
Myself, i'm not much of a console gamer so none for me.
Though i might wait a few months and see how cheap used PS4s get and grab one of those :)
Pfffft, hell no. I got my RTX 3090 2 days ago and have zero interest in console gaming.
Yes managed to pre-order a PS5
Nop, no interest. Collecting components for a new PC instead.
not yet but will be buying a PS5 for sure
No I've move away from console. I just play PC.
Day one Series X. Will compliment my super PC
No I was tempted but by the All Access offer of game pass (which I use) and an S for £21 a month. Went away and thought about it and figured a X for £29 a month wasn't much more and, in many ways, more affordable than replacing my rx480 in my PC. After discussing with my wife, I went looking 2 days after launch to see if I could join a pre-order backlog as I only want it for Christmas... Turns out not only is pre-ordering for launch day not possible (Not surprised). Neither is there a way to join a cue for those of us happy to wait... You'd figure Microsoft would have implemented a queuing system for Christmas for those not looking for a day one system?
Contemplating a Series X on All Access. Probably not before Christmas though.
Day one Series X for me.
Sat with open tabs on almost all stores.
When Amazon finally put the Series X online at about 8:13, I was refreshing the product until the product propagated.
Imagine I was one of the first few to checkout on Amazon.
Everywhere else seemed to fail miserably - sites couldn't handle the load, or massive queues which reset before some of my friends got to the end.
Nope!
I did not.
PS5 is (unnecessarily) chunky and lack of required GPU (compute) power.
Most likely that I'll be on hold until PS5 Pro (announcement & release).
On the other hand, I am monitoring Xbox Series X. If availability meets with the 499 $ price, why not?
I am ready to get one.
Since I have a powerful enough personal computer (and enjoying my demon's souls emulation in 3840x2160 resolution) no need to rush for anything for me.
I am good...
Series S for the wife. I'll swap my One X for the Series X+ when it comes out.
Yep all 3 confirmed for Day one.
