evertime i build a new system which is every 2-3 mths at moment as i build, use and sell and move on. my last system was in a fractal define r2 XL and was a beast. that was around 9 mths.

I just upgraded to a h210 after having a h440 for 6 years, so not very often!
Glad I went ITX (granted big ITX!) though, what a difference!
Not often.
Gone from a Coolermaster Cosmos 1000 to a Lian Li PC-X500B to a Corsair Obsidian 500D, so 3 in 14 years?
Both of my PCs are housed in Cooler Master's very excellent HAF 932 and HAF XM chasses, respectively.
Rocking a Cooler master cosmos s from guessing around 2009 which cost a bloomin fortune and on its 3rd install and no plans anytime time soon for an upgrade.
Normally about every 4 to 5 years but I built a new machine last year in a new Bitfenix case & quickly found it was running far too hot so I bought a nice mesh Coolermaster case to fix the problem. So that's two in less than a year for me!
Usually every 2-3 years, but I'm glad I kept my good old Corsair 900D from 8 years ago as I'm planning my next watercooled build with it , I missed that case...
In the past I kept the same chassis across multiple builds, but I'm probably going to be buying one chassis per build from now on. Generational changes with smaller TDP and thermals mean I can keep building much smaller and lighter, while still keeping acceptable desktop gaming performance.
On the other hand, I should dig out my old beige box that was heavy enough and tall enough for me to safely sit on and do something else with that, too. I'll have to see if it supports E-ATX.
Once every 5-10 years I guess. After a bog-standard late-90s boxes, I've started the 2000s with a CoolerMaster Stacker STC-T01, Then it was Cooler Master HAF-X, and now I sport an Orange Phanteks Enthoo Primo. I still have the STC-T01 with Papst fans mothballed at my parent's place.
I have been building PC's since around the mid 90's. In that time I have only used 2 cases for my personal PC's. I forked out a considerable amount for a really good Supermicro Server tower case for the first one I built from scratch. I think it came from Panrix computers in Leeds if you can remember them. It's still somewhere in storage in the under eaves. It has a Supermicro motherboard now with a pair of Xeons in it. I can't remember what was in it to start with.
I now use a Corsair which I built around 5 years ago and has just had it's first upgrade with a 1Tb WD SN750 to replace the Samsung XP941 which was getting too small. These days the AsRock X99 motherboard with the 6 core CPU is fine for what I do.
If I win the lottery then it will be a new case and a Threadripper, because it would be impolite not too.
I'm using a Zalman MS1000, that I bought in 2010. In that time, it's housed 2 motherboards, and 4 CPUs (Asus P5W DH Deluxe: Core 2 Duo E6400/Core 2 Quad Q6600, Asus Prime 370x-Pro: Ryzen 1700/Ryzen 3800X).
I have been considering replacing it but I'm finding it difficult to justify it. Apart from the odd case vibration (that is fixed by putting some pressure on a side plate) it's whisper quiet. I don't particularly need USB3 on the ports, on top of the case. I certainly don't give a stuff about RGB, and I'd still like at least one 5.25 bay, for a DVD/Blu Ray burner. These seem to be disappearing fast from new cases.
change it every time I build new PC - 2 max 3 years
My current chassis is a 4 year old modified Thermaltake View 71, I don't plan on changing it any time soon because there isn't really anything that can fit 3x 360mm rads in.
