So do we think that Windows 11 is actually a coming together of many other strains of Windows and will now be much more in tune with ARM CPU's as well as x86 stuff..
Perhaps now we will start to see Windows Phone make a comeback..
In fact, what would be good is if someone could get this loaded onto the original Surface RT as I've always thought MS missed a trick there by not releasing the loader on it.
I saw this yesterday and thought - Hmm - I'd like to try Windows 11 on a phone. A windows phone device can't be that expensive now. Turns out a 950xl is £150+ still. Colour me surprised (just like when I saw how much a Windows RT devices goes for).
Windows 11 is Skynet.
I used to have a 950XL, absolutely loved it.
While I wouldn't expect the current windows 11 to be put on a phone (it's too heavy and bloated), I could see a variation of it down the line after they've cut the bloat, the 'centreed start menu' is very 'mobile device' imo.
Win 11 has got apps sorted due to android integration via the amazon store and it's got a UI that will work on mobile after a few minor tweaks.
That's awesome, I still have a working Lumia 920 sitting around somewhere, this could definitely turn it into something semi-useful again if they can get it working on that as well!
Not sure what I'd do with it, but I can do something with it!
Well, I'm wondering if I can get it to work on my old HP X3, the king of Windows Phones. I "upgraded" to an Android phone a while back due to needing to use some apps that just don't exist on Windows Mobile. So I suppose watch this space.
