Why are reflections always completely overdone in games now? I thought the road in the benchmark was a canal because it's that unrealistically reflective. Raytracing is supposed to make lighting more realistic but instead everybody just makes everything reflect every bit of light when in real life most of the objects just won't do that.
It does look pretty - I just hope the gameplay is more Far Cy 5 than 4 - seems to be so far!
I will pick this up if/when this eventually launched on Steam and other platforms. Their exclusivity deal wtih Epic (+ uplay obviously) just kills this as an option and I won't give ubisoft my money for this until that changes. We have plenty of other new games to play in October that I can wait for this one. I won't be too upset if it never does tbh, I can take or leave the series...still have 5 to finish at some point

I think it was covered in water. There were other roads in the trailer that weren't so bad. I was disappointed by the stream later on though - water ought to be the one think RT does make look more realistic.Originally Posted by ilh

Haha yeah i have wondered the same, seem like every new game is times just after a shower.
You want your character to be randomly teleported to far off places, suffer through annoying repetitive cutscenes, have antagonists who just blab and talk total bollox, and then when you defeat them, that entire area no longer has any enemies and basically becomes a barren wasteland ?
God I hated 5 with such a passion.
When it comes to Steam you'd still need uPlay. It's a Ubisoft game, uPlay is a requisite. Waiting for it to come to Steam instead of just buying it on uPlay on day 1 (or just getting a uPlay subscription as this game will be done and dusted in 30h if that) is a bit weird.I will pick this up if/when this eventually launched on Steam and other platforms. Not sure why they bothered to bump the CPU for the 4K settings, I highly doubt it's going to make much difference what CPU is used as long as it's from the last few generations.

Good lord! I truly hope that you NEVER experience an issue with your system, or wish to return it. They'll hit you with a re-stocking fee (I assume) and will ignore or say you're wrong when you have an issue.

Looks gorgeous. For reflectionists, next time it rains in a town look at the puddles on the road and you'll see reflections in them. It's true.
