It is Inevitable.....
I bought one. I damaged it and sent it to MSI UK for repair. They repaired it with inferior quality parts and cracked the LCD while repairing it.
I sent it back but they insist it was damaged in transit. (Their courier mind you!) Now, have no notebook and MSI wanted to charge me for the screen they damaged.
Be very careful buying from these guys as although it's a nicce little notebook, their UK operation isn't really up to servicing these systems. Think they only normally deal with motherboards and components. You might find your warranty is worthless like I did.You can't phone anyone there and they take about 2 weeks to answer emails, if at all. As long as you never need the notebook repaired or serviced though, they're a good little PC but a bit flimsy in construction.
thanks for that gives me something to think about...are you going to try the courier for a claim? i always sign unchecked in case the contents are dammaged...
Was going to but in all honesty, the box it arrived in was undamaged and the screen lid wasn't put on correctly (big gaps on each side)which made me think it was just a poor repair. Also, another piece of it fell off when I took it out and it didn't look like t was battered as it was thin plastic. They replacement lid ws plastic, not magnesium, like the original and it looked dodgy. They're conveniently passing it on to the courier and the original damage but they're not interested really. They charged me for all this too which is the worst bit. I paid to have it made worse.
i would write to the managing director mark the letter personal and private that has known to work...dont let up for all our sakes..
