Acer's desktop PC sales could be set to double over the next year, with help from Foxconn.
With support of its major contract maker Foxconn Electronics (the registered trade name of Hon Hai Precision Industry), Acer expects to lower its production costs and expenses through Foxconn’s operating services worldwide, said Lin.

About 70% of Acer’s total desktop PC orders placed with Foxconn are shipped from Foxconn’s global PC assembly plants to long-distance markets including Europe and Russia, Lin stated, adding that the intention is to minimize the journey for delivery and reduce transportation fees.
