Adobe continue Mac support, despite Boot camp

Even though the latest Intel Macs can now run Windows OS and all the apps that come with it, Adobe remain committed to releasing its range of products in Mac-compatible editions.

Adobe CEO Bruce Chizen told a Tokyo news conference that a ['universal'] version of Adobe Systems' flagship Photoshop software that will run on Mac computers based on either the legacy PowerPC or new Intel platform is due in the first half of next year.

He said that Adobe was working hard to make its products MacInteltosh compliant. Acrobat 8 will be ready in the autumn and Photoshop and the Creative Suite in the spring.

Rightfully so. The don't stop releasing The Gimp, because nearly all windows boxes *can* run Linux.

if adobe hadn't spent so long sticking with legacy code in deprecated environments like codewarrior, it wouldn't be an issue

As far as I could tell Boot Camp was created to aid the move from Windows to OS X not the otherway around. Besides Adobe sell most to OS X users as far as I can tell.

Yeah, too right. As much of a stereotype as it is a large chunk of Mac users are creative professionals and vice versa. That would be ironic if everyone dropped OS X ports though!
