i am with bt at the mo, so if i go for the connect pack it is still cheaper (idont use over 40gig), the question is when the "max" package is available can i swap to that within the 12 month contract without being penalised?

Andy,
I don't know and I can't see anything on the site that looks close to being an answer.
I reckon that, in your place, I'd phone the hotline number that Sky gives in the letter it sent to all Sky TV customers last week (you are a Sky TV customer, aren't you? Cos if you're not, you're not eligible).
That number is 08702 402900. In theory it's just for registration but there might be a helpful human on the other end.
Might also make sense simply to register your interest anyway - online or by phone (you can do it via Sky Interactive, too, but that looks like a chore to me).
Registration costs nothing and lets you get your foot on the ladder sort of thing.
Care to tell us what it is you want to know?Originally Posted by tyokio
well, its just that im having trouble finding out what kind of connection "sky connect" is.. if it runs down the phone line then thats practically game over for this connection because the last broadband attempt we made, we got no signal at all.
It's ADSL =)
Have they announced when Sky Broadband is likely to become available?
darn :C asdl isnt available to me. guess im 56k bound for a good while yet
This will depend absolutely on where you live.Originally Posted by Parm
Sky has a target of getting its switchgear into 767 of BT's exchanges by December - giving coverage in 51% of UK homes.
If you live in a city, that's likely to mean you'll be able to get it then (or before).
As for the exchanges that are in rural areas, Sky doesn't look to be in a big hurry to get its kit into them.
Its target for Dec 07 is to have got kit into 1,200 exchanges in total, giving coverage of 70% of UK homes.
Might be a while for me then in Albrighton.
"% U.K. homes passed" is what it says.
They are not tying themselves down to a 'set' Fair Usage Policy limit at all by the looks of things.... http://www1.sky.com/broadband_downlo...age_policy.pdf
Like the look of the service, hate the fact i still need a damn phoneline if i go multiroom and really not like that vague FUP either!
But still, Sky+ all channels and 16Mb for 52.50 a month aint too bad I suppose...
Yep, I would definitely be interested if they had a more defined policy; would rather have a specific cap than these wishy washy FUPs.Originally Posted by Vod
just found this h**p://w**.sky.com/portal/site/skycom/usage - have read it but they still aren't very clear about what the usage limit is!
Hope it helps
