Cheap Windows Home Sever Build - Can someone check this spec please?

    hi all

im wanting to put together a cheap WHS box for home, requirements are:

    4 SATA ports
    GB Lan,
64bit, 2hz+ cpu (for vail when its released)
    onboard gfx
    low power consumption.

i will use the server for streaming movies, downloads, music and backups from the pcs in the house

ive been at it all day and its going my head in, i keep adding better components as "its only £10 more" lol,

my budget is £250 absolute max but cheaper the better

i already have 2x1tb hard drives for storage and external dvdrom

heres what i have so far:

ive chosen the Akasa Freedom case as i like the cable management on it and cutouts on the case, plus the easy access of drives. - seems a winner for the price

the 500gb seagate is for the OS

anyone suggest a different spec to the above? will order in a few days hopefully.

    Thanks

No such thing as an "OS drive", whichever drive has the OS on it will also be used for data.

It is best to use the biggest drive you have available as the OS drive, because reinstalling the OS is the biggest pain in the neck you can have with WHS, and therefore using the biggest drive for the OS delays how long it will take before you need to upgrade it.
