Thanks for the few words about noise! That's precisely the information I cared about most from this review! Looks as though this might not be for me. I'd rather not have to spend 200+ on a case, and then add to that another 30-40 for damping material and quiet fans!
Cheers,
Roo
WOW!! This case is truly huge!
You will really need to be a massive enthusiast to warrant spending +£200 on a case, but boy what a case you get for the money.
I am particularly impressed with the compartmentalisation and prepreparation for 3 fan rads in the top.
Bigger and better cases have been around for a while. The latter perhaps hasn't been done to such an extent, but the rest of the case has been exceeded, perhaps excluding the hot-swap ability (though in it's current incarnation it's just about pointless anyway).
£200 cases have been around for many years now. While this particular one is probably a bit too expensive, there are other cases which have been worthy of such a price tag before.
Let's face it. You spend £200 on a motherboard now. A good case will outlast that motherboard, and the next, and the next, and the next... etc. It'll still be around in 10 years, unless you get bored. Given how much you'll use it, a good case will certainly be worth the extra you spend.
Nice review & the right verdict ! Hexus are always fair with their review & this review is case for it (sorry, no pun intended)...
I have followed the progress of this case & wanted one before I seen the price, said "OUCH remortgage needed" its too much for what you get as there are other chassis that are just as good for less ! In the end I dip out & got SST-TJ10 from eBay for £100 & have saved saved money for an SSD !...
I look forward to the next offering that Corsair have but I feel the other players in the market will do the same or better ???
Two thumbs fresh Hexus...
Any more info regarding fitting a PA120.3 in the top without modding?

Heh completely missed this first time round. Very nice case. If I only had the money...
The newer PA120.3's with the 15mm fan spacing will fit(not the older 24.5mm spacing though).
If you're looking into buying, try shooting blackbeard or perhaps yellowbeard a PM. Corsair support has always been top notch for me. Sure they'll get back to you to give you a solid confirmation.

Hi all. Sorry, missed this first time around. chuckskull is correct, radiators with a 15mm fan spacing will fit, so the older PA120.3s are incompatible.
This image gives an example of the spacing that is compatible with the 800D (I think this image is of a BlackIce rad).
ahh nuts, i got the older 120.3
guess im keeping this case for now
As per my other post I can confirm that a thick 120.3 radiator (I used XSPC RX360 - 58.5mm think) fits in the top without modification, assuming standard 15mm spacing. Still a decent clearance to the motherboard as well so you could go thicker if needed. It does intrude on the top two 5.25" bays though. You wouldn't be able to fit even a shortened (I tried) optical drive up there once a 120.3 radiator is installed. Plenty of room for swallow things like fan controllers and multi-bays though.
A decent sized (45-50mm thick) 120.1 will fit between the PSU (even if using extended PSU size) and 3.5" cage without any modifications and needing to remove the mid mounted 140mm fan. Removing the fan would allow a much thicker radiator or be used. There are two holes to plumb tubing from this area to the rest of the case as well which is a very nice touch. A 120.1 will easily fit on the rear plate at CPU level.
Personally I run the GFX into the triple radiator as one loop and the CPU into the two 120.1's as another loop. If I ever needed chipset cooling I'd plumb it into the GFX loop as that has superior cooling at the moment.

The CORSAIR have chosen to install the Yate-Loon 140mm full black matt fans inside this case and exact the same 140mm Black fans are installed inside the CORSAIR PSU
