i've had that on one play span, its totally secluded to the Char menu too like you say on the map - i had a similar issue in a PC MMO called Neocron.
never had the issue since, and the only other noticable one i have is the Siren's Phaze Strike (in the Assassin's Tree) just doesn't work - luckily this made me respec into Elemental and its amazing!

    Re: Reviews - Borderlands - PC, Xbox 360, PS3

Found a vid on youtube showing the exact problem, was starting to think it was my PS3 as at times the sound skipping can be quite bad on it also. Contacted Game about it and they said they would replace the console for me if things didn't improve, pretty good seeing as I bought it January this year.

Thankfully though at least I'm not the only one with this problem.

I'm holding off on the multiplayer side of things on Borderlands just yet until they get the bug sorted out that drops your levels to zero. But once that is sorted a bit of co op is great, stuff like where you are in the vehicles would be cool as you can only drive or be in the turret, not do both for some bizarre reason.

Will add you into my friends list though

Done the add now, look out for my username in your friend requests

aah i remember the bug mentioned - luckily i haven't had that fate yet.
you can control the rocket launcher/mini gun as the driver, even using X (i think) to lock onto targets where its harder to aim and steer

Bloodwing can be quite handy at times, especially taking out peoples shields so you can lay into them with weapomry.

I think my PS3 is on its way out, sound is getting really bad now with most games and I went to play NFS Undercover a few mins ago and now its not recognising theres a disc in the drive. Something is up with it so think its a trip to game this aft to get it sorted

Means I'm going to have to start all my games from scratch again

    Re: Reviews - Borderlands - PC, Xbox 360, PS3

my partner in crine started as mordecai (git i wanted to but in gamer rules - he called dibz)
the bloodwing works REALLY well at later levels especially when spec'd deep into it and using class mods for added damage, at times i wish i had that sort of ability on Lilith insted of phaze walk - like doing the later Arenas and being pinned down by MANY Badass bruisers and the phaze walk with ANY mod does nothing to them but her Phoenix skills mixed with intuition and just Spraying SMG rounds in a blind rage at high speeds is really satisfying.

although after another boring day at work and planning what to do after it i decided to try and test Roland if Mike doesn't come online - lets see what the hype is about!!

Dam, that's a common problem on ps3, i used to think it only happens to older ones or ps3's in very smokey households, but not so.

I'll get it changed straight away. oh and use a usb memory stick to back your saves, or harddrive and back up the whole thing.

Cool, look forward to acquiring bloodwing, gonna give the game a good bashing tonight.

still spending time on Uncharted 2, Flashpoint and saw.

    Re: Reviews - Borderlands - PC, Xbox 360, PS3

Just had an awesome customer service experience from Game at the Metrocenter. Went in and explained what was happening and they exchanged my 80Gb PS3 for a new Slimline 250Gb machine and also gave me a 2yr Gamecare warranty with it also. I purchased my origional machine on 22 Jan 09 so it is outstanding that they exchanged it 8 months later for me

Included in my package I also got NFS Shift and Unchartered 2.

Just spent a couple of hours playing the co-op on the PC version, had to open ports and faff around a bit but it worked, and what a great game. They need to sort the pc network play out, and for gods sake most pc players use mouse and keyboard so huge menus are not neaded. Also please give more options for controlling the games comms.

But niggles aside its ace and really good fun. Absolutely loving the guns. Currently lvl 13 hunter

Same. Dont like the fact that you can tell the game seems to of been primarily made for consoles Those menus and buttons selecting etc are "mahooosive" even on my high res -had to play with the sensitivity tweak some stuff as well, but willing to forgive as the game is so good

Playing as Soldier Roland at the moment, not got to far yet, hopefully can progress some this weekend, also do not know if this has been posted but a great Borderlands Wiki is available.....

    http://borderlands.wikia.com/wiki/Borderlands_Wiki

Useful for checking character builds, weapons and of quest stuff.
