I only borrowed a copy of the English version off my classmate. Mainly to see if the English version have Japanese character voice included, which I knew was highly unlikely, nevertheless waited.

Graphics is brilliant on the PS3 with full 1080p (unlike all other JRPG games I played on my PS3) and the first game that I played that supported 12bit Deep Colour.

I have a copy of the Japanese version ordered at half the original selling price in Japan which I am happy with. Speaking of which I keep finding some of the English translations very odd.

A bit disappointed with the initial hours of battle. Just stupid that the only thing you can do is "Attack", "Blitz" and "Hand Grenade" kind of stuff.

I've just unlocked the upgrade system for weapons and items, just stockpiled everything and didnt sell it. You can add the various stuff to your weapons, it doesnt tell you what the stuff does though. You have to look and see what gives the highest upgrade points and add that.

Main female character is just like the main characters from previous games in the series, can be quite melodramatic at times! Enjoying it so far though, cant wait till it opens out a bit.

all ive discovered is that some items reward xp mulitpliers... otherwise just XP

Yeah noticed that, no damage modifiers at all. Everyones weapon is now level 2 though

Depends on how anal you are I guess, I'd say nothing that you can notice. I've just started playing it today on my 360 and I've watched my brother play it for a couple of hours on his PS3 and I can't tell the difference, but then they were not running side by side.

The PS3 is higher resolution and the 360 has slightly higher FPS rate during some parts according to the tech sites findings. You do have to change the discs over on the 360 version though, something you won't have to trouble yourself with on the PS3.

Loving it at the moment, only been playing about 4 hours so far, so I'm not that far into yet. It don't look bad on the 360 for a PS3 exclusive

From what I can tell, it depends on what video and audio equipment you have.

The better/bigger your screen, the more the PS3 version looks better (higher resolution and less compression) and also if you use a HDMI connection to a decent app with quality speakers attached, you might even hear some difference (uncompressed audio).

Depending on your screen size the bigger you go may result in you having lesser picture quality with the PS3 seen as game scaling has to be supported by the dev.

Just ordered this, first console game I've bought in a while (360 as I dont have PS3 although TV only capable of 1080i not 1080p anyway), and the first 360 game I've bought near its release tbh, New-out games seem so pricey when you are used to PC games. Got it for £34-99 so thats not too bad.

Reviews make me a little nervous, but I've bought every FF game since VI so I cant pass it up. Hopefully wont adversely effect my finals revision! Also picked up Lost Odyssey for a fiver after recommendation earlier in the thread, worth a blast at that price I reckon.

I'm onto the second disc after around 6 hours and half of play time, comparatively I speed rushed LO's first disc and that was 8 hours - I thought this was meant to be a 60 hour game

Depending on the review it could be anywhere between 15-25 hours.

Supposedly only chapter 11 is non-linear...

Still, it's a nice game, shame it is going to be no where near as epic as it's predecessors.
