Looks gr8 but a bit expensive.
Ouch, noise graphs! All round the gainward GLH looks the better card tbh
Too noisy for my liking. And I would expect better boost prior to OC for that price.
i actually bought two from newegg in the US. they are actually the same price as stock 780s right now and it comes with splinter cell compliation (3 games including black list) and also with batman arkham origins. The games alone jusitify the purchase against stock 780's.
So if you see a good deal i would not pass these guys up, especially those in the US right now. I don't know how much longer they will be offering $150 dollars in games with Zotac gtx 780's on newegg but while thy do its almost a no brainier in my eyes

any news when the bios update will drop for those of use who already got cards?
i have gotten a hold of Zotac support department about the bios update. Funny thing is they said they don't have any bios updates available nor do they plan any. though the tech said if he was mistaking i would "get an email one day". So i am wondering if the "updated" sample hexus re-reviewed has a tweaked bios that will never hit the light of day for the average user. I am finding zotac and this article by association misleading and false in regards to zotac's commitment to treat their customers (or in the case of this article...readers) with respect and integrity.
While i am not saying the card and 4 games bundle is a bad deal when it cost the same as a stock gtx 780...but it by no means is what i expect from an enthusiast level card like the AMP! edition. shame on Zotac for sending out doctored bioses the world will never see and shame on you hexus for advertising it for them as if it were the "real" product. Your intial review was the accurate one not this farse of an update.
atomicWAR, apologies for the trouble you've had. HEXUS was assured that all retail models came equipped with the new BIOS. We've reached out to Zotac for any additional information and will be asking the manufacturer to provide an update in this forum thread.

In response to queries regarding the GTX 780 AMP! bios we at ZOTAC believed that all GTX 780 AMP! cards that shipped to etail had the new bios installed however in light of previous communication, it would appear that somehow some previous bios versions may have been included in early units shipped. In light of this, a new bios is being made available to download shortly for anyone who has not achieved the best possible results from their new purchase. When available we will update this thread to confirm. Apologies to anyone affected by this and rest assured ZOTAC are doing their best to ensure everyone gets the best out of their hardware.
I complained i once already that this article is misleading and false. I had asked you revert the article to its original standing before the "updated" bios or get zotac to release said bios to the public. You were kind enough to respond and said "Thanks for your note - appreciated, we have flagged this to Zotac and should have some news soon"
Now i complained to Zotac a month ago now and you as well though you replied almost two weeks later. It has been a full month after you updated your article with, as far as i am concerned at this point, doctored bios. Now I do hope these bios exist in the wild soon but until they are your article is unacceptable in it's current form. It's incorrect and doesn't provide the proper performance numbers the cards in the wild. The simple fact is a stock card does not exceed 1045mhz in the wild. I have not seen a single indicator with the exception of your article to prove otherwise. My cards and others i have seen post get the same numbers i do (1045mz actual boost). So in conclusion If you do respect your readers, revert your article to its orignal standing until/IF the bios is released ONLINE for all, then "re" update your article. A month is a very long time in PC hardware where i update every year or so. This behavior is unacceptable and the time frame for this behavior is even more unacceptable. You never should have posted your update. Do not post performance numbers that are not in the wild....period. The second you find out like my last email...you correct the article UNTIL THE MANUFACTURER FIXES PROBLEM (not just on the word they say they will). IF the article is still up in is current form in twenty four hours and the bios in not released I will take my complaints to the public via youtube, better business bureau, your online forums as well as every other news tech site online forum's until someone listens and your reputation is seen for what it is. Corrupt.
Regardless you owe all your readers a very large apology.
@ atomicWar:
I had a Zotac GTX 780 Amp with bio version 80.10.3A.00.33. Have since RMA-ed it for a reference version cos the AMP's factory OC was giving me endless crashes from 'device_removed' and 'device_hung' errors. I was browsing a lot of forum threads in the hope of finding solutions to my crashes and that's how i noticed this thread.
Anyways, not sure if this is the version 2 firmware, but from GPUZ monitoring it gave me a maximum boost of only 1097MHz. The card was acquired in late September. I have used GPUZ to make a backup of the firmware. If this bios is newer than yours and you wanna give it a go, let me know via PM and I will email it to you. Filesize is 194KB.
@keredcake
thanks for the offer. I'll stick with Bios as it is at the least very stable. I am just pissed vendors think this kind of behavior is ok and worse hexus is being complicit by advertising bios that the average user has no access to.
Hi,
I also bought a Zotac 780 AMP! here in Germany. I bought it on Oct.11th but still I seem to have the "old" BIOS.
I read about the same issues with the limited boost on a German tech site and they also said they received an updated card. But is this a real thing? Does it even exist? Where is the new BIOS to download? I only bought this card because I was assured all new cards would have the correct boost.
Mine doesnt seem to go above ~1050 tho.
My BIOS version is 80.10.3A.00.33 (P2083-0020)
When will this be fixed???
EDIT: Just contacted Zotac (Germany) Support.
EDIT2: Zotac has sent me a Dropbox Folder with Instructions PDF and the new BIOS. Will flash and test now. Great support so far
EDIT3: I have flashed the new BIOS (80.10.3A.00.59) and my card is now running with over 1165 MHZ on boost. Well, that was very a very quick support from Zotac.
Conclusion: They have the new firmwares and it does work. I cant post links yet. PM me if your zotac support is slow.

Hi illiaz3d.
I am interested in that new BIOS but I canĀ“t send PM right now, because I am a new member. Is there any other way I can contact you? I would be very grateful for that.
Thanks in advance.
