Maybe I'm just dull, but I don't really see the point of the 'Macro Station'. It doesn't really seem to display anything that couldn't be displayed in the mouse software application - bit of a gimmick, in my opinion.
My understanding is pro gamers can and will switch their DPI on the fly in (for example) FPS games, to change between settings for run-and-gun, sniper, etc. A lot of mice have this capability, but in thet madcap circumstances, losing track of which setting is active could be problematic.
Having said that, pro gamers use wired mice.
Isn't wireless gaming mouse an oxymoron?
Or is it for solitaire?
Every mouse I've had with DPI switching, profiles, etc has always had some kind of indicator, be it lights, sound or whatever.
I either know what DPI the profiles are set to, or just pick whichever one best matches how I feel in whichever game I'm in at the time.
Certainly I've no need (and no desk space) for a monochrome display unit the size of a large Pentax camera flashgun!!
has anyone got a link to a (trusted) recent comparison between wired and wireless mice in gaming?
Maybe they're up to the job for Jo Bloggs gaming?
