It'll be worth paying the money just to see ME for a start....

Other than that, LANs are the ultimate in gaming fun AT THE SAME TIME as socialising with like minded individuals.

Personally, I think its a damn fine thing that Intel are sponsoring an event. Regardless of whether you're an AMD or Intel Fanboy, the serious amount of money that these guys have to sponsor events only means that the events get better and get OTHER companies interested too. That means bigger prizes, MORE prizes, MORE events and more happening at each event.... it's all good, whether you have an INtel CPU or not.

and these is also the simple fact that, with Intel holding hands with nVidia now....they WILL be taken seriously as gamers PC's .

Intel are big....heavy hitting....they have dough. I'm really sad that I cant go....while I like the idea of meeting some Intel bods....its the ATI boys and girls I wanna meet.
