    in what way is this overkill? It can keep up with 120Hz gaming at 1080p but not always at 1440p.

    1070 or 1080 also makes sense for running VR games at max settings - so it's not just 2k/4k gaming where there is a real impact.

    AMD may take the budget/mid-range prize this time around, but it's still £200 which is firmly in the "mid range" price point imo. It sounds like a decent enough card to tide people over for the next year or so, but it won't last anywhere near as long as a 1070/80 in terms of "keeping up" with gaming.

    There is definitely a market for this though, as the 1070 is still too expensive for most people and the 1060 (which is expected to be the equivalent of the newer generation cards in terms of price + performance) is months away from actual availability. You can't even practically buy a 1070 or 1080 at the moment as stocks are so low. AMD can get the jump on the lower end of the market here if they market it right.

    completely depends on your graphic settings though.

    @Parm Mann - Did you notice any coil whine with this card ? Some other sites who reviewed it mentioned the coil whine.
