I'm assuming it's about to go live with stock or?
As expected - Scan are now hiding behind a 2-stage captcha which then spits up a "Service unavailable" message.
Got in via the Nvidia link I posted earlier. Scan has no stock, but lists the price as £1,318.99 !!!
And todays "How to make friends and influence people" award goes to.......
Curious what time you actually managed to see live stock, I looked from 2pm till 2.08pm and the link from the nvidia site you posted removed the 3080 Ti from their listings completely (it's back up now, listed "out fo stock" obviously.) Didn't see anything on Scan as like you said it had the double captcha ending in a "Service Unavailable" error.
I was there at the begining lol...
SHowed up on the NV site, clicked through to Scan, £1318.99, no buy button, left it a few minutes and tried again, £1049, still no buy button...
Every refresh of the page seemed to flip the price between the two, haven't looked on eBay yet but I bet there's some up on there already..
Some of the prices and some of the "sold" prices are just beyond comprehension...
what a joke of a launch!
Opened OCUK, SCAN, Nvidia, Ebuyer sites all before 2pm and refreshed them all and none had stock then Nvidia finally listed the 3080ti and clicked buy which took you to scan which then had the price listed at over £1300, I had a buy button and thought screw it I will buy it and decide after its ordered but it failed to add to my cart, went back to page reloaded and still had a buy button so tried this process multiple times then it went out of stock (no buy button) and £1049.
So pissed off at how crap scan are, just have a preorder system or SOMETHING instead of this method its a joke.
The 3060, 3070, 3080 FE editions all had a stock drop shortly after and I got to those instantly and again no buiy button so the stock was pitiful.
Its very frustating, I honestly can live with delays and preorders but I cant stand NOT having a ticket number or be in the queue, I am wasting so much effort just trying to get into a queue!
I would happily pick up AMD this gen if they had improved their encoder as it limits the quality of PCVR via the quest 2 compared to the 3000 series, only reason I am looking at Nvidia this generation. At this rate I will just give up and wait for the 4000 series (or AMD 7000) because this is just pathetic
For my new system i'll just stick with: Gigabyte GEFORCE RTX 3080 GAMING OC 10GB GDDR6X, methinks this will be a better choice until the prices come down (a lot) maybe then i'll rethink it...

I really no longer see the point reviewing a card no one can hope to buy?
What sane individual would EVER consider purchasing Nvidia's 3080Ti, a card almost twice the cost for 2-10% more performance than Nvidia's...3080...??!!!!
From what i saw, there was quite a lot of 80ti fes drop on launch but the 70ti fes and aibs where non existent. My guess is nvidia prioritised all the chips for the 80ti so they get more money in as in a normal market the 80ti would not sell very well.
This is anything but a normal market though, the 3080Ti is just Nvidia's way of setting a 'pre-scalped for your inconvenience' msrp which will then give them and the AIB's a bigger hole between the 3080/3080Ti and 3090 in which to place their products, the problem is the 3080 being £649 is such good value that anything else just seems bad.
