Remember when I interviewed ATI's Matt Skyner back in January and I asked him where AGP variants of various Radeon SKUs were, after web-wide noise was made about ATI's insistence in pushing out PCI Express parts over the AGP versions everyone craves? Matt replied that stuff was on the way and we should hang tight.
In a brand new section at HEXUS called What's Keeping Rys Busy In The Review Dungeon Of Doom, where I let you in on what I'm working on every now and again, I can let you, our glorious readers, know that they're here, if you hadn't noticed already.
I've got X850 XT PE on AGP, and X800 XL on AGP, which gives me the scope to compare late-model native AGP and RIALTO products, at the same clocks (by clocking the X850 down) to see what effect, if any, RIALTO is having on performance. Piccies? Thought you'd never ask.
Thanks to the mighty Beyond3D for helping me out with the Club3D X800 XL and ATI for the reference X850 XT PE. You can find the boards shipping if you look hard enough, and if you give me a couple of days, I'll have an article for you all to read.
If you still love Accelerated Graphics Ports, stay tuned.
Any of you waiting for either SKU? Happy to see ATI get round to sorting out their AGP-lovin' customers? Couldn't care less? Let us know!
