I've grown for the first time this year, I bought 5x 50 packs of seeds and stupidly planted them all. I obviously didn't have enough faith in my abilities to nurture, because now I have them everywhere. Every windowsill in our South Facing house has Chili's growing on them!
My problem is that they're becoming too tall! Can I be brutal and give them a clip?
I didn't go exotic, and bought and planted what I believe to be 5 varieties; (descriptions are from memory could be wrong)
Anaheim - Jalapeno like in shape, colour and heat
Marconi Rosso - Sweet red peppers, mild
Satans Kiss - Small red 'cherry bomb' type chili's - meant to be hot?
Habanero - Smallish bell looking peppers, hot?
Tepin - Small red/green balls, bit like Satans kiss but smaller? hot?
Here's my crop;

Marconi Rosso - Another mild Jalapeno type?
Anaheim - Mild Bell Pepper (i think)
Satans Kiss - Small round, relatively hot?

I bought it at B&Q for no particular reason, don't know what type of chilli it is, it fell off the windowsill when it was little, haven't fed it, I just water it when it gets dry. Next year though, I'm going to fill up a whole windowsill with stuff and do it properly from seed, not just chillis though. Do bell peppers grow ok on windowsills in southern england?
Picked a Habanero after moving house yesterday, to hot for my liking!
If you add to a stew/curry without cutting it up then it infuses its lovely warm flavour without adding much heat.
