Thumbs up Baked Beans on Toast (A British Institution)

A highly popular and drastically under-rated dish, I have to ensure all Members know how to produce this dish to the highest standards.

    Ingredients:

1 tin of Heinz Baked Beans
3 Slices of Thick White Bread
    Butter
    Ground Black Pepper
    A sprig of Rosemary (Garnish)

    Method:

Remove small/medium non-stick saucepan from cupboard, clean, and place over small ring on hob.
Retrieve Tin Opener from cupboard, remove remains of dried catfood and use to open Tin of Beans (unless you have the pull tab kind).
    Empty contents into non-stick saucepan.
Turn on hob to low heat.
Remove wooden spoon from drawer, stir beans - regularly, in a clockwise motion.
Place Thick White bread into toaster with thick setting and engage switch to activate toaster.
If you do not have a toaster, place bread under hot grill until evenly brown all over.
If you do not have a grill - use a blow torch! (or else you will be having beans on bread)
    Stir Beans.
Once Bread has become toast, remove from said appliance (see above) place on plate (which you should have already retrieved, washed and dried) and butter toast/bread accordingly using a small knife.
Once toast/bread is buttered pour beans from non-stick saucepan over toast/bread.
Garnish with Ground Black Pepper and a sprig of Rosemary to complete dish.
    Serve and eat whilst hot!

    Serves 2 (if ur lucky)

    *Enjoy!!*

Firstly, you stir the beans anti-clockwise, and secondly, if you've any class, you cut the toast into 4 quarters, and pour the beans onto the middle of the plate, with the toast around the edge.

Other suggested additions are small pieces of bacon or sausage (pre fried or grilled), and of course worcestor sauce.

Believe it or not heinz actually suggest a layer of toast, followed by ham, beans, cheese and a fried egg....

worcestor sauce is a must in baked beans.... makes even the cheapest 6p beans palatable, and student not having a bottle of this should be shot.. it makes almost anything taste great

Damn. There was me thinking the man has some taste and you go and spoil it . At 8p a tin BB has to be the cheapest protein about. Shame about the side effects though .
