    Hey! Welcome to Hexus!

Sorry but Im not an expert on London Restaurants (Im normally drunk when I leave London so would never be able to help you back to where I actually was!)

I would have thought that most would do a decent Vegetarian menu though. An Italian may be a good bet?

Sorry not much use I know, but couldnt leave your first Hexus post without a reply!

cheers guys - Sarah's my partner, and we ended up taking our veggie mate to The Gate in Hammersmith - very nice it was too - great food, nice atmosphere... I couldn't smoke or eat meat which was a bit of a bummer... these things happen!
ended up having an amazing pasta with chilli, funny italian cheese (dol-something), garlic, sundried tomatos.. amazing flavours!

there is a vegetarian takeaway in manchester trafford centre and the queue is usually a mile long, takes bloddy ages to get served, and they dont do anything special, its like a macdonalds style place, so i reckon it would be a good idea, but everything has to vegetable based, even the oil you use for the fry-ups, and the cheese has to contain chemical rennet and not animal based rennet, coz your always gonna get someone who does a thorough check on everything you cook

The best Vegetarian restaurant I have been to is Rasa , just off Oxford Street. The most amazing Indian meal, and I didn't even notice that there was no meat They have another restaurant in Stoke Newington...

Indian just has to be the choice as the majority of Indians are effectovely Vege due to religious or economic reasons. So their cuisine will be well evolved instead of contrived (like much of the western vege stuff).
