Chocolate is nice too, but very sickly in anything over a half kilo of it!

If you're after something more healthy, try mixing in some bran, not bran flakes, but bran... gives the porridge a nice earthy sort of flavour.

Either that or try mixing in some muesli, thats REALLY nice.

The words porridge and interesting aren't synonymous.

honey, raisens/saltanas, bits of exotic dried fruit, choccy buttons, various jams, cream... anything really...

To me, porridge is MEANT to be sweet, but my grampa always ate it with SALT! i mean what's with THAT!? pffft weirdo!

if i go into work (John Lewis - Nottingham) on an early then the chef is normally knocking up a porridge special... just nip round pastry section chuck in some apricots, sultanas, currents, cherries, chocolate drops... fresh cream and or syrup
