I'm warming to the idea of pickling them TBH, although with the aid of a couple of large omeletts we've managed to eat most of this batch. My plan for pickling them was: hard boil the eggs, then boil the vinegar for a few minutes to sterilise it, then put eggs and vinegar into a jar/jars that I've washed and then heated up in the oven to sterilse them. Any pickling experts got any advice?

    That explains a few things.
