Wonder why it's only England, and not UK-wide? I've been using farm shops and "proper" butchers a lot more recently, would be nice to discover a few more round here.
I had my first delivery by farmdrop.com a couple of weeks ago (with £25 off my first order over £50) and I must say the quality was excellent. Slowly managing to reduce my need to go to supermarkets and get all my produce from higher quality local places, which makes me happy and presumably healthier.

It's not got all of them there are at least 3 I'm aware of that aren't on the list.
Shameless plug for a service if you don't live near a good farm shop: Riverford Organic Farms do home delivery of organic veg/meat and are good quality.full disclosure: I worked for them for 4 years. That said they made me redundant and I still recommend them.
They're big for this kind of operation but still entirely owned by the man who started it. Although he is moving to a John Lewis style employee ownership model I believe.
I found the veg and fruit from the local market and farm shops seems to taste much better. A lot of the stuff in supermarkets is just not ripened properly and seems to be selected more on appearance.
Oi! I have Scottish relatives and I find that highly amusing but only partially accurate. They do know what vegetables are, they elect them after all. They also know what fruit is, if you get three in a line you win some ££s back.
Nah seriously they do have fruit and veg but the difference in what they stock in supermarkets is marked. It's like going back 15-20 years when we go shopping up there in terms of range. And I'm talking large chain supermarket, not just little local shop.
The most comedy moment for me came when after a bit of teasing re this very thing, and deep fried marsbars etc, my very proper relative, who I expected to give me a dressing down, confessed that they used to eat them, and not only that but regularly ate deep-fried pizza on a Friday night. It was at this point I realised that stereotypes are not always undeserved.
