    Chocolate - for women!

I'm fine buying flowers for women but I have no idea what to get if she likes chocolate. Personally, i'm happy with a Yorkie bar or Bounty but that's hardly going to impress a woman is it?

So, what box of chocolates do the trick for the ladies in your lives? Or for you if you are a lady? It has to be able to survive a longish plane journey without disintegrating into a gooey paste.

Maybe a mixed assortment as you don't mention whether she likes plain, milk or white, also depends whether she has vegetarian or organic preferences.

    Try this site

    Yummy Choc

A friend got us the strawberries and cream slab this summer, didn't last long in this house

Where's the easiest place to get decent chocs (I like Mrs. Fraggie's suggestion of Guylian Chocolate Sea Shells by the way)? The problem is that i'm working all week and flying off on Saturday morning so it's going to have to be something from a local store in the evening this week unless I find a shop in the terminal building on Saturday morning.

Another vote for the guylians seashells. They are the missus' favourite chocolates.

As for where to get them, pretty much any normal Supermarket store should have them. Normally get mine from Tesco.

Sold on the Guylians Seashells. I'm going to stop by Sainsburys' on my way home. Will try Tesco's and Thorntons tomorrow if I have no luck.

What about Ferrero Rocher? I think they're one of the nicest choclates available to the UK market.

    Another suggestion is Mars Celebrations.

Hey Taz, if you live anywhere near Windsor (as you live in London) I'd suggest a quick trip to Montezumas. They make fantastic chocolate bars, truffles, eggs etc that I have ordered several times and never been disappointed - www.montezumas.co.uk

(you can also order online and they do same day special delivery as a courier option if you order early - see the Terms & Conditions page here http://www.montezumas.co.uk/montezuma/index.asp?id=72)

If you're travelling, try to get chocolate with a higher cocoa content - not only is it generally better quality, but it won't melt as easily.

    Good luck!
