    flour storage...

    so, we got some cheap tesco flour, with free miely (sp.?) bugs... eugh..

    now, new flour, paranoid about storage...

    any ideas?

    The bugs were there when you bought it I reckon, just take it back and get another pack. If you keep it in a cupboard with the top sealed nothing will happen to it.

    Hmm. Just checked my own flour, and my pack of Tesco Value plain flour has bugs in too- the top wasn't rolled over properly though. Dunno whether to chuck it or just treat it as some bonus extra protein. My Lidl strong bread flour which I've had in the cupboard for much longer is still 100% fine though.

    Edit: gonna bin it I think.

    For storage i'm a big fan of those glass jars with the orange rubber seal and metal hasp. I usually get them in John Lewis, but i think i saw them in the window of Lakeland as well. Most places (Tesco, Ikea, etc.) do similar ones in different styles, but i prefer the classic french style

    I bought a gigantic, tupperware like box at a local market months ago.

    Keep all my flour for my breadmaker in there and works great.
