RAM Ding, Which of the following...

    Hi all.

I have an Asus P5k-E board (P31 i believe) I have a choice of two chips Q6600 and a E8600. I do like to mess with the over clocks.

I have these items in my home now and need to get some new RAM. I would appreciate your opinions on the following.

    Buffalo FireStix Heat 4GB (2x2GB) DDR2 PC2-8500C5 CAS 5-5-5-15 Timings, 2.0-2.2v VDIMM
    G.Skill PK Series 4GB (2x2GB) DDR2 PC2-8500C5 CAS 5-5-5-15 Timings, 2.0-2.1v
    Corsair XMS2 4GB (2x2GB) DDR2 PC2-8500C5 CAS 5-5-5-15 Timings, 2.0-2.2v

Slightly more Expensive but same timings
    Corsair Dominator 4GB (2x2GB) DDR2 PC2-8500C5CAS 5-5-5-15 Timings, 2.1-2.3v

Re: RAM Ding, Which of the following...

Go with the cheapest kit as you'll want RAM speed quite low if your going to overclock, more so with the Q6600 - They all do 1066MHz as well so you know that the RAM won't be a factor then.
Kalniel: "Nice review Tarinder - would it be possible to get a picture of the case when the components are installed (with the side off obviously)?"
CAT-THE-FIFTH: "The Antec 300 is a case which has an understated and clean appearance which many people like. Not everyone is into e-peen looking computers which look like a cross between the imagination of a hyperactive 10 year old and a Frog."
TKPeters: "Off to AVForum better Deal - £20+Vat for Free Shipping @ Scan"
for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.

Thanks, basically i ordered the firestix, they looked interesting with some good reports and a good price. after 2 weeks they have not turned up, i contacted them and they offered me a replacement at the same price. i choose the G.Skill in the end.

i cant find any reviews on them but fingers crossed.
