Quick RAM question

Hi,

A stick of RAM in my boss' computer has died and I need to replace it. I think I know what to buy, but just wanted to double check here, since I'm not sure if the fact the latency is different matters.

Here's what I took out:


And here's what I think I need to buy (just want a direct swap)...can someone just confirm please?

Correct, PC2-6400 = 800mhz DDR2, probably the same CAS if not manually set it to the higher setting of the two sticks
ie if one stick is cas5 and one is cas4, then manually set it to cas5

The Hynix one is single-sided module.
You might wanna check with Scan if the one you willing to buy is also single-sided (8 chips on one side of the module)

I have run mixed systems before, it shouldn't be a problem.

it was an issue with ddr1 generally not an issue with ddr2
