Are there any drivers for the Asus P5B-TMX/S

I didn't expect a response so fast!

The drivers given in this thread have worked so a big thanks to the man from Mesh!

I do have one unknown error in device manager which I think is the usual high definition sound driver not installing correctly. Everything works so I could ignore it. The drivers given in this thread include an Audio patch. I ran this after installing the audio driver and before carrying out all windows updates including IE8 and SP3.

Does anyone know an easy way to sort this? If not I will just leave it because this is just a home users PC and it won't be a problem.

Not sure I agree in any way with your conclusion that not implementing audio won't be a problem for a home user (whatever made you think that?).

Home users, in my experience, are far more likely to need/want audio than business users.

All that apart, typically, though I can't say this is necessarily going to be true for this motherboard - in nine out of 10 cases the built-in hardware uses RealTek drivers.

This page will take you to download area on RealTek's site where you can get those drivers.

Not sure how common it is for motherboard SATA to go AWOL but in this particular case, I think that's just what had happened - possibly causing corruption or damage to the original SATA system HDD.

Hi,

I too suspected motherboard/SATA controller but after swapping the power supply everything sprung magically back to life

Thanks for that. I too have a problem with this mobo detecting the SATA drives and have a squeaky PSU.
Sounds like the same issue you faced so going to try and change the supply now.

Just thought I'd update if anyone is interested. I took the PSU apart as I didn't have another going spare and found two crappy TEAPO 10 volt 1000uf caps that were swelling up - A positive suspect of the squeeling noise. I de-soldered them and hunted for some more which I found on an old motherboard, and they were not TEAPO either, result! I soldered them in, put it back together and hey presto, no squeeling and booted first time.
Just a quick fix if there is any cheapskates like me out there! I would recommend using new caps if you can though.

Hi there. I have someone computer here that has been formated. Ive reinstalled XP but dont have the drivers. The ones for LAN, VGA and Audio in this thread worked fine but the Mortherboard seems to stop USBs working. Is there an alternative download? The mesh number on the back of the case is S0 55565 001 s. Its and elite D915.
