MESH - Asus P5B-TMX/S Motherboard - RAM Question

Hiya

As seems to have happened to many peeps, searching for the MESH Asus P5B-TMX/S mobo leads them here, so...hello!

My question is...I'd like to bung a wee bit more RAM in this PC, but am not certain precisely what type to use - I know it's DDR2, but I'm not sure of the precise specs and also what the maximum supported amount is. I'm guessing 4GB?

If anyone can tell me which spec of RAM I need to purchase, I'd really appreciate it - thanks!

You can wait for someone else to confirm but i believe the P5B to be DDR2, the easiest solution is to buy PC6400, its popular and well priced.

The Motherboard in question could possibly be MATX so it might only have 2 x Memory Slots, the easiest way for you to confirm the Memory and the amount of available slots is by opening up the case and checking.

I believe the Motherboard will have a max capacity of around 4GB, so you should be able to upgrade i.e. 2 x 1GB or 2 x 2GB depending on the amount of existing memory you have.
