    what is the best mother board right now! want to upgrdae which will last a bit longer!

    I suggest you consolidate to a single thread instead of starting too many threads. Your value for money can be calculated on your own by looking at reviews and then calculating the costs. Post:-

    What you have (can be salvaged)
    What you want (a pc obviously but for how long, big/small)
    What you want to do (games, surfing, solitare, video etc)
    How much you're looking to spend

    There will be alot of opinions but i'm sure someone will be able to help.

    beyond, you need to consider the questions you're asking alongside each other. The best value motherboard considered on its own won't be any good to you if you choose a CPU it's not compatible with.

    You should read CAT-THE-FIFTH's monthly build thread to get an idea of what are the best combinations of components to fit your actual need, rather than asking somewhat philosophilca questions...
