Yes I saw it advertised on Amazon which is why I remembered it. May try watching the rest of the series. I haven't read the book I must admit.

They have a young fella, who even looks very young, playing MacGyver. Based on comments so far, the whole show is carried by supporting actor George Eads (I think is his name?) from CSI. They're on Season 3, would you believe? Possibly because I've met kids who saw the film but didn't know The Titanic was a real ship, let alone knew what it meant 'to MacGyver' something.
See, what I'll do is watch all of 80s MacGyver... and then, when I have no more Leonard Cohen and Goth music to depress me beyond belief, I'll watch this new series.

I've been watching Ghosts on BBC1 on Mondays at 9.30. An enjoyable, unchallenging comedy about a couple who inherit a huge country house, along with its many spectral occupants...
