the most you can upload with maxDSL is around 50k/s. thats what im getting with my 8mb connection. and thats probably the best for ADSL right now. and as you cant afford SDSL you really arent going to get much higher. i think BE offer higher upload rates but i cant get BE in my area!

I got a 4MBit Ntl connection and I have a 384kBit upload. Which is ideally 500kb/s download and 50kb/s upload, but in real life I get about 491kb/s download and 47kb/s upload. Although this is due to me sharing my connection with 2 other pc's in the house.

BE doesn't look quite bad, but I've been with Ntl for long now and they havent given any problems.

Be have 1.3mb upload speeds in most places ; which is around 145 kb/s .

or you can pay for business broadband from most suppliers who will give you 832kb upload speeds, but for around £80+ a month.

If your looking for a fast upload then your going to probably look into the various LLU offerings such as Be There which use the newer ADSL2+ which offer upto 1.3 Mb upload which is dependant on line quality and length from the exchange.

With Zen`s rochdale LLU the upload can be 1 meg.

Now that LLU is out the Upstream can be set by the ISP to anything up to a meg really. Depends on distance from the exchange and also the ISP`s own preference

    Hi

The consumer DSLMax offers up to about 448Kbps and I get about 384 where I am which is a couple of miles from my exchange (1.5 meg downstream)

Although that said my line isn't the best so reckon you might want to try business grade DSL max.
