    AOL Software on different ISP

Does AOL still tie you to their Broadband package if you want to use their software, or can you still use it on a different ISP and keep the same email address? Or would one have to change email?

Also how hard is it to get the MAC code off them?

BTW don't need the whys, just the answers will help!

I just received my MAC code from them this morning.

They have put a total cap on everyone on my pipe as there were 2 excessive users on it.....everyone suffered!
Im on 8mb and lucky to get 512kb in the evenings because of this 'group-capping'.

I told them i had cancelled my DD (still 4 months left on contract) and if they want to sue me for the outstanding funds then go ahead.

They sent me an email to say' as a goodwill gesture, your account with be closed without penalty when migration has occurred'.

Also, if you need to speak to them DONT use the number they provide.
There is still a freephone number, they just dont advertise it...... 0800 279 6771

AOL used to be good but they are total cack now CPW have taken over.
