    ntl playing up lately

    my ntl's been going wierd last few days,

    basically seems like browser and internet just goes down intermittently right now more often than not during the night.

    anyone else been exerpeincing this in east anglia? I saw on service status nottingham had problems recently but I'm not very close to there.

    Yep in Poole it's a bit odd atm, at peak times playing games is impossible.

    mine works in stafford, but im not playing games so i cant say about latency issues. Im just a dl whore at the moment and its doing the job fine.

    Yes, I've very recently started getting problems with contention at peak times.

    Mine connection drops off occasionally in Cambridge area, have noticed happened after the Virgin Media take over. Could be to do with that, they are preparing to upgrade the speeds within the next 2 or 3 months.

    yeah had many a problem......telling me I was connected to a proxy that doesn't exist, not being able to connect to any sites except the one I was on when it went down, at the same time I was still connected to IRC and could chat on MSN,wierd, then I had a day without any connection oh well up and running now.

    They're trialling trafic shaping. Some users are reporting their configs being changed on the modems at different times of day. Connection at the office here on NTL is very fast, half a mile down the road at my house and its terrible.

    I'm getting back onto BT and Sky as soon as be* enable my local exchange.
