Very strange website error? - Help

I'm trying to get to a website I'm building with a mate www.phubus.com however everyone can see the site but when I go there I get redirected to http://194.154.164.90/?domain=phubus.com and can't get access. I was using the site at work today with no problems and my mate is on there now but I just can't access it.

I've cleared my cache, cookies and history in FF but still no luck. Also had a go with IE and the same is happening.

Any ideas?

I only setup the name servers yesterday night so do you think they just haven't been spread around all the servers yet?

that's possible, DNS replication can take up to 48 hours or more. But it works fine for me.

Just saw this on another forum.

its coming out of cache of your machine or the ISP. You will need to wait till morning to have cache cleared.

Fingers crossed it'll be fine soon.

The old IP is stuck on your ISPs nameservers, like I said, it may take a few days for it to fully replicate around the Internet.

You could always switch your home DNS lookups to use OpenDNS, it updates much faster and you can tell it to refresh the cache if you change things.

Edit: And it's also just faster generally, I've found!

Why bother?.. zone updates rarely happen, that's why it's a good idea to have a reasonably long zone ttl.

I think the original post is a good reason why.

If you're regularly dealing with new or moved sites then you need to get to the new server to make sure it's working.

If you're doing that then a) http://your.ip.addr.here/ or b) if you're using vhosted sites, setup your own BIND server for testing while DNS is replicating.

Tight TTLs are very expensive on popular sites.

OpenDNS was the answer for me. Messed up with the implementation of it though and had to reinstall my router 3 times

Have you got a link to some info about this? Sounds interesting, but not something you could do for friends and family.
