you got an IP address?
You could try a tracert out to somewhere to see if any of the hops look familiar
the only time it appears in Google is in access logs on webstats
Or you could just have a look at dnstuff.com and see which ISP owns the netblock that the user's ip address belongs to.
It looks like whoever the ISP is is a reseller for Murphx though - http://www.murphx.com/
Why do you need to know?
I wanted to know why their paying £100 a month for a 2mb connection and seeing if i can swap them to someone more cost effective...
The end user hasnt got any details, we had to call the landlord and go around the houses to get their username and password for a connection that had been up for 2 weeks and they hadnt been told!
is it SDSL? £100/month for 2mb SDSL isn't out of the question...
Chances are it's a business account (based on the name) with SLAs. Business broadband connections cost waaaaaaay more than their domestic brethren. Zen for instance will charge you £73+VAT for a business 2Mb/256k connection.
Ask Trig about getting "home" connections for business connections if you dare
TiG
Trig - tell me about getting home connections for business use.
*can someone point him in this thread's direction?*
Eek - I suppose that kinda explains why a "proper" business account costs much more...
