Sharing a printer

I can ping both the hostname and the IP splash.

Does the hostname resolve to the same ip as it does on another machine (ie one that can connect to the printer)?

Hmmm, problem solved - it turned out to be a firewall issue (network level not Windows firewall). Just one of the charming eccentricities of our wonderful network

It's now connected and working fine.
