Definitely agree with you - Sky do need to sort things out.

Price / package is great, shame about the hardware supplied.

    Thumbs up Re: Sky broadband

I have been with sky broadband for about 12 months now and never had any major problems i get regular downloads of 15.5 meg...
One word of warning do not use there router as that contributes to most of the problems.
Buy a different one and all your problems will be gone...

    Sky is the best ISP

15.5 meg!!! man I wish.....how do so many people get such good download speeds.

Think my exchange must be useless, I only live about 200 metres away and only ever get around 6 meg.

    Re: Sky broadband

Ive been on the 16MB max package for almost a year. Due to local issues with cabling I have an ADSL 1 enabled line only, its a Milton Keynes thing That being said I have had a solid 8MB full no matter what time of day I dl, I also dl 40gb ish a month and never heard a peep from Sky about it. My only issues have been failed routers, I am on my 3rd, still the D384GT. Considerin I pay a tenner I cannot complain, and even if I did I doubt their customer service could understand what I was saying, those who have phoned manilla will understand (the scottish based support people are very good tho)

    Re: Sky broadband

I have had the 16mb sky BB for about 3 months in a shared house. According to a BB checker the house we're at can only get a max of 6mb but in reality we get around 1-2mb at peak times in the evening and other times usually 3-4mb .

The connection has been solid so far though.

All in all not too bad, could be worse (losing connection, slow speeds) and could be better ( actually getting 6mb speeds).
