Demon Internet - Sub sites down again

at some point Sunday afternoon Demon internet sub sites (network status, webmail etc etc) have been going up and down like yo-yo's the webmail client has been down for about 12 hours consistantly came back for about 30 seconds and is now down again.

I find it shocking for an ISP to have their shop window behave in this fashion.

Their network status monitor shows everything as green.

No, it's not my connection either.

It's a shame - I remember when Demon were the bee's knees.

back in the old modem days i used to ring up and get what felt like my own personal modem rebooted

I used to be with demon, but I found the speed so low. The 8mb broadband gave me at best 3.5

I went with them cos they offered unlimited limit and were one of very few doing that 2 years ago.

Lately there service had been very intermittent.

When I called a few weeks ago to get my MAC and switch to bethere, the guy on the phone told me it was a good choice to move to them and there very good. Very odd that the guy who's supposed to try and stop you leaving is telling you that it's a smart move to go!

Most of the time this is down to the phone line, and I'd be impressed if you could show me an ISP that offers 8mb and delivers 8mb.

Demon have gone down hill, its very clear that they have lost a bit of focus when they can't keep their own websites up and running, but to say they are poor because you only got 3.5 on an potential 8mb line is a bit weak.

im on AOL and i get 8mb ...
it is NOT the ISP's fault where you live, if you want 8mb broadband live next to an exchange, but I think that there are more important things in life than broadband.

Blasphemer!.. Actually you can get 24mbps if you live next to an exchange that's ADSL2+ enabled.

I didn't expect to get 8mbps, but normally I was on 2mbps
